VOOPOO Drag S3 Review

The VOOPOO Drag S3 is a compact pod mod kit with a 3000mAh built-in battery and 5–60W output. Built on the PnP X platform, it supports both MTL and DTL styles with PnP X coils and pods. There are certainly major similarities between the VOOPOO Drag X3 and VOOPOO Drag S3. But there are a few major differences. 

  • VOOPOO Drag S3 has an integrated 3000mAh battery
  • VOOPOO Drag X3 requires separate purchase of a 18650 or 21700 battery
  • VOOPOO Drag X3 has a maximum wattage of 80-watts and the VOOPOO Drag S3 tops out at 60-watts. 
  • VOOPOO Drag S3 kit comes with the PnP-X MTL tank while the VOOPOO Drag X3 is sold with the PnP-X Direct Lung (DL) tank. 
  • Both are compatible with PnP-X tanks and coils.

Final Thoughts VOOPOO DRAG S3

Unless it is crucial that you have 80-watts of power on tap or you already have 18650 batteries and a charger, the VOOPOO Drag S3 is going to make more sense. It offers plenty of punch and the MTL PnP-X tank is not overly restrictive. 

This being said, the best pure direct lung experience as sold will be the VOOPOO Drag X3. Both of these compact mods are quite capable and adept at handling high-VG vape juices and producing massive vapor.
