The Vaporesso XROS 6 is the more feature-laden version, but Vaporesso has not turned the XROS into a bulky pod mod to get there.

The screen and fire button are the clear dividing lines between the two devices. Instead of relying primarily on an LED battery indicator, the XROS 6 provides operating information directly on its TFT display. The addition of a physical button opens the door wattage controls as well. Vaporesso allows power to be adjusted in precise 0.5W increments rather than a few pre-set modes.

The other major upgrade is charging. The XROS 6 supports 5V/3A or 9V/2A USB-C input. Vaporesso advertises approximately 50% battery capacity after ten minutes under its specified charging conditions. That matters on an 1800mAh device because the larger battery does not necessarily have to mean dramatically longer downtime.

The Vaporesso XROS 6 Mini takes the opposite approach. It removes the TFT screen, firing button, and manual wattage interface while retaining the same 30W ceiling, XROS cartridge platform, COREX 3.0 technology, SSS 2.0 leak resistance, and Venturi airflow found on the regular XROS 6.

That makes the Mini considerably more interesting than a stripped-down entry-level device might sound. Its 1600mAh battery is only 200mAh smaller than the XROS 6 battery, while the body is approximately 11mm shorter. Install a pod, fill it, allow it to prime, adjust the airflow, and inhale. The device handles output automatically.

The 200mAh difference accounts for less than that amount of difference in battery life in the real world. It does not need to operate a screen and the preset wattages are optimized for efficiency. If you dial up a regular XROS 6 to max, you will get fewer puffs in between charges with the same pod. COREX 3.0 Pods Are the Real Story

For all the differences between the XROS 6 and XROS 6 Mini, the most important similarity may be the part that actually vaporizes the e-liquid. Both devices use the Vaporesso XROS Pod Series, including the latest COREX 3.0 Pods.

That matters because buying the Mini does not mean accepting a lesser cartridge platform. The XROS 6 and XROS 6 Mini can use the same XROS pods, and current COREX 3.0 cartridges extend that platform across multiple resistance levels. Vaporesso advertises a 40% increase in flavor and 30% improvement in airflow for the current pod technology. Those figures are manufacturer claims rather than standardized measurements, but independent reviews have also been favorable about COREX 3.0 flavor performance. Vaping360 described the 0.8Ω version as one of the stronger-performing pods in its class, although its review also encountered an unusually early failure with one 0.8Ω sample while a tested 0.6Ω cartridge continued performing after 42mL of e-liquid.

The XROS 6 provides the more extensive interface: 1800mAh battery, 0.88-inch TFT screen, faster charging, button or draw activation, and greater control over power. It also includes both 0.6Ω and 0.8Ω cartridges, allowing users to sample two different XROS draw styles immediately.

The XROS 6 Mini reduces battery capacity by only 200mAh while eliminating the screen and most manual controls. Its shorter 110.7mm body, draw activation, automatic output, and single included 0.6Ω pod make it the simpler interpretation of essentially the same COREX 3.0 ecosystem.

For the end user, the Vaporesso XROS 6 will be the better device for high-VG freebase vape juices. The fire button is much more accepted with that restricted direct lung vaping. For someone coming over from disposable vapes, the XROS 6 Mini is the simpler device.

The broad resistance range is what gives the XROS platform more flexibility than a basic one-pod system.
