Geek Bar Pulse Review

The first thing you notice when unboxing the Geek Bar Pulse 2 is the familiar size and appearance. The display is modernized but the design language is the same. Smart move. It was very ergonomic and even an unclear linkage with outer space was copied by many rivals. Interestingly, it is a special collection of flavors that are featured in the debut lineup.

Geek Bar played it safe with the underlying flavors but did chance by launching the intense and delicious flavors of the Hubba Collection before making B-Pop, Meta Moon, Fcuking Fab, Miami Mint and their many stalwarts available. 

Hubba refers to flavors inspired a soft confection that tastes great to chew (at least briefly) but is a pain to get off of your shoe. But unlike bubble-producing chewing gum, these flavors really last. They taste like the best elements of the Hubba bubble experience.

What's New on the Geek Bar Pulse 2?

The biggest upgrades are found beneath the surface. Geek Bar's updated Vaping Processing Unit (VPU) improves e-liquid retention efficiency by 30% while increasing effective puff output by 32%. Combined with an upgraded Dual Mesh Coil, the Pulse 2 produces up to 23.7% more vapor while maintaining consistent flavor throughout the life of the device.

The device also receives an upgraded 800mAh battery, 50% faster charging speeds, and the ability to recharge to approximately 80% in just 15 minutes. 

Geek Bar Pulse 2 Display and Design

At first glance, the Pulse 2 looks familiar, and that's a good thing. It retains the comfortable shape and bite-friendly mouthpiece of the original while introducing a brighter Dome Full Screen and updated Binary Orbit Light effects. What is this Binary Orbit Light they are carrying on about? That is the LED light that encircles the Dome Display. The original Geek Bar Pulse had a similar design element. And it illuminates to show you are in Pulse Mode- which is an underrated feature when option by is flipping the device to look at the screen. 

The space-inspired graphics remain a signature part of the Pulse lineup, but the new display feels more vibrant and polished than previous generations.

Geek Bar Pulse 2 Performance

Flavor remains the biggest reason to buy a Geek Bar, and the Pulse 2 delivers. The upgraded coil system and improved wicking efficiency help create dense vapor, smooth draws, and excellent flavor consistency. The 0.8ohm coil hits like a mule kick if you really crank on it- which certainly isn't necessary with a strength of 50mg and 20-watts plus under the hood and powered by an upgraded battery. 

The coil also has superior wicking versus the earlier Geek Bar Pulse dual meshed design. It is meant to extract every last drop of e-liquid, which is the secret to its vastly increased puff count from a similar footprint. 

The redesigned airflow control slider also provides more customization than the original Pulse, including a fully closed airflow position for users who prefer a tighter draw.

Another upgrade is to the Vaping Processing Unit or VPU. This is the chip that controls the functions of this surprisingly complex disposable vape. 

The upshot is a more flavorful and powerful Pulse Mode with more puffs per ml of e-liquid and a more efficient Regular Mode that does not lack for power.
