Otherwise they are pretty standard fare. Both use rechargeable batteries, two vaping modes and upgraded mesh-coil technology, but the Pulse X 2 delivers substantially greater advertised puff capacity and a larger battery. One ding on the Pulse X2 is airflow. It is great. But for a flagship model, it seems a bit cheap to have the airflow control on bottom switch modes. So many high-performance disposables allow you to independently adjust the airflow and mode. This allows a loose draw at a low power setting and a tighter draw in the Turbo/Boost/Pulse Mode.

Using the airflow control switch as the mode selector is likely a cost saving measure but one that also extends coil life. Pulse mode in these devices is dealing with a pretty robust power output for 50mg salts. To get a coil to last through 50K puffs is only achieved by splitting the wear over two halves of the dual mesh coil. And running the higher wattage half without proper airflow does place more strain on the mechanicals. This design choice is not as glaring on the smaller Geek Bar Pulse 2, which is playing in a less competitive field and relies on its amazing appearance, performance and flavor out of the box against other 25K puff disposables.
