Suorin Showdown: Suorin Drop vs Air

They say you can't judge a book by a cover, but when you see a vape pod that looks like a tiny pastel clamshell, can you really pass it up? Novelty items are often just that, a novelty. Is the Suorin Drop a novelty vape kit, or is it functional and fun? And what about its more utilitarian cousin, the Suorin Air?

The Lowdown: Suorin Drop and Suorin Air

Despite both devices being made by Suorin, the two kits couldn't be more different if they tried. To provide a proper examination of these two devices we pulled from numerous reviews as well as our own product catalog to ensure they're given due treatment.

Suorin Drop

It's not unusual for pods to be pretty sleek, but the Suorin Drop takes things to a new level by slimming things up even more and taking on the appearance of a little shell or pendant.

At 73 mm x 49 mm x 12 mm, the Drop is one of the smaller pods on the market. Available in red, blue, dark blue, and black, the Drop can be stealthy or make a statement.

Because of its small size, the Drop is great for those looking to vape on the go. It fits in practically any pants pocket and will easily fit in a clutch or purse. Despite its small size, it is worth noting that many reviewers commented on the large clouds it produces. Sorry, hopeful stealthy vapers.

Don't be fooled by the Drop's tiny size. It offers a nice, full throat hit that will satisfy even the most seasoned MTL vapers. With its dual drop pod system, you can even mix and match your favorite flavors to create new ones. Chocolate cereal? Go for it!

With a 300mAh battery you can expect some decent mileage out of this device before you need to recharge it. To keep the size of the Drop so small, the pods are 2ml, so don't expect a ton of vaping before you need to refill.

Suorin Air

While it's not an adorable little pod, the Suorin Air is still an incredibly sleek device that offers a subtle vaping experience.

At 86 mm x 43 mm x 8 mm, the Air is super thin. Some reviewers even said it was small enough to fit in the credit card slot of a wallet. Available in black, gun-metal, gold, rose gold, and silver, the Air makes a sleeker statement than its fun, more playful cousin, the Drop.

The Air packs the same size 2 ml juice capacity, making it another short-session device. It does pack a larger 400mAh battery, so you won't be reaching for your charger too often.

Just like the Drop, the air is a no-button device, meaning you simply fill it, switch it on, and go. It's a great fit for new and seasoned MTL vapers, and produces virtually no cloud. If you're looking to vape on the go and not draw a ton of attention to yourself, this is the device for you.

Which Device Should I Get?

As is the case with many of Suorin kits, both the Drop and the Air are stellar devices. Neither one is better than the other, rather each one serves a different purpose.

Both devices are automatic and have no buttons to press, so newcomers should be right at home with either device. If you're looking for the perfect device for someone new to vaping, the Air is likely a better choice as it's a standard tank design.

The Drop is great for those looking to experiment with flavors, thanks to its dual pod system. This doesn't mean it's a bad fit for newcomers, but sometimes too many choices can be a bad thing when you're new.

For those of you concerned about a portable kit, both are crazy small and will fit in your pocket, no problem. The Air is going to be even slimmer, but don't let that stop you from getting the drop if you're concerned about size. The Drop is still super tiny.

Lastly, if you're wanting to be subtle about your vaping, the Air is the way to go. It produces smaller clouds than the Drop, and it's even smaller and subtler in its design.

No matter which device you get, you're in for a great vaping experience that you can take with you on the go!
