Geek Bar Pulse versus Geek Bar Pulse X
The Geek Bar Pulse redefined the vaping market by offering a disposable vape with two modes. It is a truly modern design with excellent build quality, delightful flavors, advanced features, and excellent battery life.
The key features of the Geek Bar Pulse have now been met and exceeded by many of its competitors. There are myriad disposable devices with a higher puff count, multiple power modes, higher e-liquid capacity, excellent flavor, and a comparable vaping experience. Both have a nicotine strength of 50mg and there is no lower nicotine vape option available. Vaping.com carries the best disposable vapes and our Geek Bar Pulse collection includes a full selection of the best flavors at a great price.
This is where the Geek Bar Pulse X enters. Along with the Geek Bar SkyView 25k, which we reviewed earlier this month, these disposable devices are meant to compete with the higher puff count rivals that have flooded the market. In this detailed comparison we will examine how the flashy new Geek Bar Pulse X 25000 compares to the popular original.

Before deep diving the performance of the first- and second-generation Geek Bar Pulse, here is a table that outlines the differences between the two Pulse vape models and the new SkyView 25K. They all have unique flavors and a flavor selection. The GeekBar Pulse and Pulse X have a switch limited airflow switch, which allows for changes only when you switch between modes. The SkyView 25K uses a button to switch modes and any airflow setting can be used in any of the three modes. This is a superior design.
All the models have unique graphics, but the Geek Bar Pulse X can provide a light show that that none of the others can match. How much that matters to adult vapor consumers and users is another question entirely.
Geek Bar Pulse 15000 Review
The first iteration of the Geek Bar Pulse was a revolutionary product that changed the disposable vape game. The original Pulse allowed users to switch between two power modes for a customized vaping experience. Normal Mode had decent vapor production but a high puff count of 15,000. Pulse Mode operated at 20-watts, compared to pod kits with draw-activation it could really perform.
The ergonomics were perfect too, with a bite friendly mouthpiece. Convenience, functionality, and compelling options in the flavor department have given Geek Bar a massive share of the adult vaping market. With VPU technology, dual mesh coils
However, there were some drawbacks with the original Geek Bar Pulse. The battery life could be improved, especially for heavy vapers who would need to constantly recharge or have multiple devices on hand. Despite all the advanced features, the airflow control was limited and not adjustable within each mode. Nonetheless, the Geek Bar Pulse is not showing its age and is one of the best disposable vapes. Vaping.com carries a wide selection of disposable vapes to meet the needs of adult vapor consumers.
Geek Bar Pulse 15000 Pros and Cons
Pros: The Geek Bar Pulse offers a smooth vaping experience with a wide selection of great flavor options and what were unique features at its debut. In Normal Mode it is a satisfying vape and Pulse Mode unleashes 20W of vapor production modulated by a sophisticated vaping processing unit.
Cons: Even with quick charging, Geek Bar Pulse battery is a bit underpowered if operated exclusively in the high wattage 20W mode, which also generates a rocket ship graphic straight from the 1960s. The adjustable airflow is limited by mode. If you are vaping in only one mode, only one half of the meshed dense flavor will eventually be replaced by burnt flavor as it really isn't designed to make it through all 15ml of nic salts without switching between the two halves of the meshed coil design.
Geek Bar Pulse X 25000 Review
The Geek Bar Pulse X is the flashiest of the Geek Bar series. The entire side is a 3D curved screen that resembles a starry sky. It also has animations on the front, plus the obligatory battery life monitoring and e-liquid level display. In terms of real performance, an enhanced dual mesh coil now operates at 25W rather than 20W, while the Regular Mode has been increased from 10W to 12W. The VPU is a bit more sophisticated as well, although the difference in fire speed is subtle.
Combined with an increased capacity of 18ml, the Geek Bar Pulse X generates an estimated 25,000 puffs in lower wattage modes and 15,000 in when you turn up the wick in the boosted mode. Somehow, the puffs in the 25W match the Regular Mode of the original. It is here we should point out these are estimates from the manufacturer.
Unfortunately, the device has no dimmer switch and is at its brightest in Regular Mode. Switching to Pulse Mode reveals a constellation design unique to each of the flavors.
The lack of a truly flexible way to control the draw is an oversight on a device this sophisticated. It should be kept independent of modes, although the ability to turn off the device is a nice feature.
In terms of performance, the Geek Bar Pulse X provides a consistent experience. The display is slightly overwrought, and it is a bit bulkier than the SkyView 25K and almost 10mm taller than its predecessor.
Geek Bar Pulse X 25000 Pros and Cons
Pros: Increased capacity, wattage, and puff count versus the original Geek Bar Pulse. With an amazing flavor collection, the Geek Bar Pulse X is a real showboat when it comes to appearance.
Cons: Screen is outsized and overly bright, and dare we say wasteful for a disposable vape? The battery remains a bit overmatched if operated exclusively in the 25W mode. Like the original model, the airflow control on this device is linked to mode, there is no way to use the higher wattage but tighter airflow. Dual mesh coils work best if switched between, stick in one mode exclusively and you will note a decline in flavor as only one side will be in use.
Geek Bar Pulse X 25000 versus Geek Bar Pulse 15000 Head-to-Head Comparison
The Geek Bar Pulse made its name with flavor quality and performance. It has dominated the market thanks to its functionality. It will take more than a 3D Curved Screen to give its bigger successor the edge over the older GeekBar Pulse.
Flavor Comparison
The GeekBar Pulse has been around longer and has more flavors. It may have slightly less power, but it still has more than enough strength for a 50mg disposable vape with a dual mesh coil. The Geek Bar Pulse X 25K is available in classic flavors like Sour Apple Ice, Blue Razz Ice, Miami Mint, Watermelon Ice, Lime Berry Orange, and Blue Rancher. It also has a couple of B-Pop flavors and the always popular Fcuking Fab. It lacks the Frozen Edition and the full lineup of the original. The performance is similar enough that the edge goes to the original Geek Bar Pulse. If you have a preferred flavor that the Pulse X carries, then that edge disappears.
Winner: Geek Bar Pulse
Performance Comparison
The dual mesh coil designs of these two Geek Bars make for a very similar vaping experience. The Pulse X is more powerful, with both of its power modes boasting a higher level of flavor density and vapor production. The slightly higher output combined with a greater e-liquid capacity. gives the Pulse X the edge.
Winner: Geek Bar Pulse X 25K
User Experience
This is a subjective area. The quality of the flavors is very similar. The Pulse X has higher wattage. Both run the danger of wearing out the device coil if you never switch modes. A smooth vaping experience is consistently delivered no matter which one you choose. Heavy vapers may like the extra kick and added capacity of the Pulse X, but the original Geek Bar Pulse is still standout in the world of disposable vapes.
Regular Mode is an efficient method of enjoying either product, delivering performance roughly comparable to a BC5000 but in a longer-lasting package that unleashes far more puffs. The battery is heavily tested by the higher-wattage mode in both cases, with the 3D Curved Screen adding additional drain on the Pulse X.
The advantage goes to the Pulse X because of the convenience of a longer lasting vape device. This edge is offset if you want to vape a device that does not have a huge display and flashy light show.
Winner: Geek Bar Pulse X 25K
Features
The key features are similar. You get more puffs from the newer version which gives it an edge over the OG GeekBar Pulse. The bigger battery does not allow for much additional vaping between charges as the wattage is higher. A GeekBar Pulse will outlast the X. Since vaping is what matters most, the additional power and puffs still give the Pulse X the edge. In terms of display and graphics, not many vapes will outshine the X 25000.
Winner: Geek Bar Pulse X 25K
Value
There is not much of a premium paid for the puffs, bigger battery, display, and power of the Geek Bar Pulse X. Both are a ridiculously good value. Especially when compared to the skimpy puffs Big Tobacco's fauxbacco flavored gas station pod kits.
Winner: Draw
Our Verdict: Geek Bar Pulse X 25000 versus Geek Bar Pulse 15000
Empirically speaking, battery size, number puffs, and power are measurable. No one is looking at lumens, but the brightness of the Geek Bar Pulse X might be polarizing. Screen is usually mentioned, a slam dunk win for the outsized 3D Screen on paper.
For an everyday vape, the author would rather enjoy his Grapefruit Refresher, Blue Razz Ice, Lime Berry Orange, or Miami Mint in peace. The little rocket ship on the original Geek Bar Pulse seems almost quaint compared to the Pulse X.
The wattage increase is noticeable on the newer device and the puffs are denser. But it just feels a bit wasteful. It is unfortunate the Deeming Rules have pushed innovative technologies into one-time use devices. Both are excellent and efficient designs with flavor profiles that are beyond reproach. But can we get one with just a little screen that shows battery life and e-liquid level? And will such a spartan disposable vape catch the eye of the modern adult nicotine consumer?
