Local vape shops may carry all three. All the Geek Bar disposables are cut from the same cloth but there are some differences as well. The original form was the Geek Bar Pulse. 

The 20W output of Pulse Mode is still quite sufficient, the great taste of the Geek Bar is backed by a 50mg nicotine strength formula. It can easily provide a satisfying experience in either mode. Tropical fruits are heavily featured in the flavor selection, with a refreshing menthol twist included almost across the board- in theory this protects coil life.

Regarding coil life, a high-capacity dual mode disposable generally works best if you switch between the modes. To stick on one setting subjects all the wear on that half of the coil stack. As the Geek Bar Pulse holds half as much e-liquid as an entire bottle of salts, that is asking a lot of it.

But if you are just looking for a discrete disposable vape that provides a satisfying vaping experience, this is not the device for you. It essentially serves as a signal beacon. What is worse, the lights seem brightest in Normal Mode. There is an entire constellation light display that takes up the side of the device.

In Pulse Mode, a constellation appears. This means less of it is lit up, although the corresponding graphics on the 3D curved front also change. On the plus side, the flavors are great at the bite friendly mouthpiece remains. But it does look a bit like a full box mod at this point. That the airflow control is limited to when you switch modes is a weakness in the design.

You can control the airflow independent of modes. Add in the fact that the illuminations and screen, while certainly bold and bright, do not span the entire side of the device. It still feels a bit much for a disposable device, but it is more restraint and control than the Geek Bar Pulse offers.

There are three modes instead of two as well, allowing even more dispersal of wear along the coil. The Soft Mode is nice, as it is every bit as strong as a top-of-the-line disposable vape from just a couple years ago. Flavor intensity is off the charts.

Pros: Independent airflow controls. Refreshing flavor options. Three power modes. Animations and screens are less garish than the Pulse X.
